On our way back to Europe, we spent three nights on Bali. The main purpose was to meet friends that we have not seen for 15 years and we really enjoyed meeting them again. I won’t comment on Bali any further but people who know me are aware of what I think about the island and why I would never ever recommend a visit… However, we had a very nice private bungalow in the rice fields near Ubud and enjoyed the birds in the morning. The first photo shows a Scaly-breasted munia (Lonchura punctulata), the second a Javan munia (Lonchura leucogastroides), the third a Javan kingfisher (Halcyon cyanoventris) and the last a White-breasted waterhen (Amaurornis phoenicurus).
Hello, I’m Sandra – a passionate landscape photographer and solo globetrotter. In this blog I show my best landscape, nature and travel photos which have been taken during my travels around the world. I shared my passion for travel and photography with my late husband Gerd until 2018, whom I now take with me in my heart to every place I visit.
