I can’t really describe my feelings when I read about a huge solar storm that was supposed to hit the Earth in two days – and this after we had not had a single clear night in eight days since we had been in Norway! I was even more excited when I read that the weather forecast predicted clear weather exactly for that one night 😮 😮 It all came out well and we experienced a magic KP 6 night that exceeded our expectations. Corona after corona exploded above our heads and the light of the aurora seemed to rain on the landscape. The lights were so colourful from green over blue to red and lots of magenta. We had never seen magenta northern lights before and it was simply amazing.
These are the first two shots I would like to show you. It took some time to process them – I’m still overwhelmed by that night and cannot stop looking at our photos 🙂
