I spent a couple of mornings along the Rhine river in Basel to capture some nice morning moods and concentrated on the St. Alban quarter where a few of the charming atmospheric fishing huts are located. They are called “Fischergalgen” and hold a device to sink and raise a fishing net for catching salmon at the deepest parts of the Rhine river. Nowadays, they belong to well-off locals and are used as weekend huts or alcoves.
I was lucky with the weather early April and was rewarded with gorgeous morning light for the early morning bike ride to the river.
Hello, I’m Sandra – a passionate landscape photographer and solo globetrotter. In this blog I show my best landscape, nature and travel photos which have been taken during my travels around the world. I shared my passion for travel and photography with my late husband Gerd until 2018, whom I now take with me in my heart to every place I visit.
