The Emmental in the Bernese Oberland is famous for its many single linden trees that are located on top of a hill. I had intended to photograph them for quite a while but never found the time and opportunity until we spent a weekend in the area earlier in July.
We had been searching for a suitable tree almost all afternoon as we were aiming for a location with the setting sun in the background and were quite happy when we finally came across this beautiful big tree. The sunlight was very soft due to the typical summer haze but it worked nicely this time.
It was a very enjoyable rendezvous with this terrific linden tree.
