The summit of Chäserugg in Toggenburg is a well-known spot for meeting a large group of Ibex but I was still surprised when I spotted them during the sunrise shooting. We never actively search for wildlife photo opportunities (except butterflies and insects) and so coming across this herd was very welcome.
The light was still soft and good for backlit photos. The ibex were very relaxed as they are obviously used to humans and we were able to take some decent shots. It was cool fun!!

Hello, I’m Sandra – a passionate landscape photographer and solo globetrotter. In this blog I show my best landscape, nature and travel photos which have been taken during my travels around the world. I shared my passion for travel and photography with my late husband Gerd until 2018, whom I now take with me in my heart to every place I visit.
