Today, I would like to continue with showing different versions of a similar subject with two photos that I took on the beach of Uttakleiv very late one afternoon.
The monochrome version is a different photo, not just the colour photo processed in black and white. They were taken a few minutes apart with different water levels.
I found your comments on the first comparision very valuable and I’d appreciate your thoughts on this one very much.
Hello, I’m Sandra – a passionate landscape photographer and solo globetrotter. In this blog I show my best landscape, nature and travel photos which have been taken during my travels around the world. I shared my passion for travel and photography with my late husband Gerd until 2018, whom I now take with me in my heart to every place I visit. Please also view my trip reports on my website Sandra Schänzer travelogues and photo galleries.
I had some interesting comments on my Facebook page that I would like to share:

Again, they’re both quite different in feel – of the two, I favor the BW image. I like being able to enjoy the textures without the distraction of the mild hues…

These show how the feel of a photo can change so dramatically between colour and monochrome. I like both but on a lance the colour edges it for me. It just feels a little less tight.

Für mich wäre es die Farbversion

Black and white easily.

Ich nehme die sw-Version, knackig gut
and again, Black and White gewinnt in meinen Augen 😉 Mysthisch , man wartet eigendlich nur darauf das ein Drache auf den Felsen landet!
I definately prefer the black and white, although with a little less foreground to emphasise those lovely boulders in the middle 🙂
Wow what are they both beautiful to see But the B&W give a fantastic mood on the picture that I miss in the color version
