Phew… busy times…!
The weekend was rather rainy and I took the opportunity to view and edit our photos from the carnival in Basel that we took before we left to Norway. It has been already five weeks since we enjoyed the wonderful music, creative masks and costumes of the “Gugge” music bands around Basel.
As already mentioned in our blog post Once a year…, we only took photos with the 14mm Samyang during the event and I’m still amazed at the quality and sharpness of this cheap but very good lens. If you run the photos through a plugin like PT Lens to correct distortion and vignetting, you will achieve very good results but also lose about 1 to 2mm focal length due to the correction. Considering the price for a Canon equivalent (plus I’m very happy with the Zeiss 15mm f2.8 lens…), it is a real bargain and more than just good value for money.
Please enjoy our photo festival of the carnival in Basel 😉

Hello, I’m Sandra – a passionate landscape photographer and solo globetrotter. In this blog I show my best landscape, nature and travel photos which have been taken during my travels around the world. I shared my passion for travel and photography with my late husband Gerd until 2018, whom I now take with me in my heart to every place I visit. Please also view my trip reports on my website Sandra Schänzer travelogues and photo galleries.
Very nice and makes me smile, Sandra. Adit
