Nutcracker action!

As promised last week, here are some action shots of the Spotted nutcrackers (Nucifraga caryocatactes) that we photographed early February in the Swiss Engadina.


I already mentioned in the blog post ~ Feathery beauty of the forest ~ that the nutcrackers are not very social birds and you can see here clearly why.
